Gaining Hands-On Experience as an ETV Endowment Intern
“I would recommend this internship to others because you get great hands-on experience interning with SCETV. So many times I was sent out by myself to cover some event or story, and the best way to learn and get better at anything is to actually do it. Many of my friends interned at bigger stations in big cities like New York City, but that limited their opportunities—something which was never the case for me at SCETV this summer." -

One State, Many Voices
The ETV Endowment has launched the One State, Many Voices: Sharing South Carolina’s Stories campaign. This campaign, with a goal of $1.6 million, seeks to double the Endowment’s capacity to fund local, original SCETV and SC Public Radio productions. -

Awards for Charlie's Place
Charlie’s Place, an SCETV production, recently received two honors: a Telly Award Bronze in the history category and an Emmy Award nomination for Best Historical/Cultural-Program from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Southeast. -
Spoleto Festival USA on South Carolina Public Radio
Spoleto Festival USA returns to Charleston May 24 through June 9. Every weekday during the festival, South Carolina Public Radio’s Sonatas and Soundscapes will be there, broadcasting live with host Bradley Fuller, providing the latest happenings, along with guest interviews, previews of upcoming performances and highlights. -
Mister Rogers and Halley’s Comet
February 6, 1986, Morgantown, West Virginia — Driving to pick up my son from the sitter, I heard a news bulletin on the radio. There was an accident at the Loveridge Coal Preparation Plant, and I knew that my husband, a mining engineer, was working on a project at that plant that day. When it was confirmed that he had been in the accident, a friend took my children to her house; and I waited by the phone.
