Programs that celebrate strength and unity

A Capitol Fourth

Dear Viewers and Listeners,

As we reflect on the essence that makes up the fabric of our nation this July, South Carolina ETV and Public Radio is proud to present programs that celebrate the strength and unity of the American spirit.

On July 2 at 10 p.m, Music & Might: An International Military Spectacular: America's International Tattoo marks the first ceremonial performance of military music by massed bands anywhere in the world in more than two years. This program showcases insightful narration and commentary, inspirational patriotic music, impressive drill team maneuvers and dynamic drum line routines.

On July 4 at 8 p.m., celebrate Independence Day with A Capitol Fourth on ETV-HD. This annual celebration brings together musical artists and offers the nation's greatest fireworks display. Then tune in on July 6 at 8 p.m. on ETV World for the Carolina Celebration of Liberty, the longest-running event of its kind in South Carolina. This patriotic extravaganza honors those who serve, our veterans and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our liberty.

From July 15-18, SCETV will provide comprehensive coverage of the Republican National Convention on television, radio and online. Tune in to PBS News Hour's live coverage at 8 p.m. on ETV-HD and 11 p.m. on ETV World, with SC Public Radio offering reports from NPR programs and local insights from our reporters on the ground in Milwaukee.

Finally, don't miss a new episode of From the Sky on July 25 at 8:30 p.m. The episode titled Seasonal Events highlights the hot air balloon legacy at Anderson County's "Hot Air Affair," forest management through prescribed burnings and the Carolina Cup steeplechase horse race.

Thank you for your continued support which allows us to bring these enriching and educational programs to life, celebrating the essence of our nation.
