Marching On: Celebrating Women's History Month and Exciting Premieres
Dear Viewers and Listeners,
As we enter the month of March, we are excited to celebrate Women's History Month by showcasing a diverse array of programming that highlights the remarkable contributions of women in various fields.
Women's History Month plays a crucial role in fostering a more educated and informed society where everyone can learn from the contributions and experiences of women throughout history. It contributes to the ongoing efforts to create a world where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.
On March 14 at 5:30 p.m., join us for Marian McPartland: First Lady of Jazz, profiling McPartland's mentorship of countless musicians, dedication to jazz education and role as a global ambassador for jazz. On March 24 at 1:30 p.m., a new film about the life, work, influences and impact of California-based choreographer Bella Lewitzky airs on ETV World. Bella explores Lewitzky's 70-year career as she pursues artistic freedom and speaks out against restrictions in the arts.
In addition to Women's History Month programming, we are thrilled to premiere new series and seasons. On March 17 at 8 p.m., tune in for the Season 13 premiere of Call the Midwife. Based on the best-selling memoirs of the late Jennifer Worth, this fan-favorite vividly portrays the colorful stories of midwifery and families in 1950s London. Then, at 10 p.m., watch Alice & Jack on MASTERPIECE to follow the complexities of love between two very different people over the span of 15 years. On March 21, a new season of SCETV's From the Sky will premiere on SCETV's digital platforms, offering viewers a glimpse into the cities and towns of South Carolina from above. And, on March 25, a new season of the PBS KIDS' show Molly of Denali is set to air.
South Carolina ETV and Public Radio's programming is increasingly important as we face an ever-changing media landscape.
