Honoring remarkable women this March on SCETV

Dear viewers and listeners,

Acclaimed artist Georgia O'Keeffe proudly stated that she never let her fear, though ever present, keep her from doing anything she wanted to do in life. Instead, she was fueled by courage. We choose to honor the courage of Ms. O'Keeffe, and numerous others like her, as we celebrate Women's History Month

Tune in for the Georgia O'Keeffe: Woman on Paper, airing on March 24 at 8:30 p.m. This story highlights the artist's career wile focusing on the little-known story of O'Keeffe's time spent as an art instructor at Columbia College. Immediately following is the debut of Aldwyth: Fully Assembled, a new documentary presented by SCETV that chronicles the journey of a successful South Carolina artist amidset her life's challenges and obstacles.

We will share the stories of many other remarkable women throughout the month. Be sure to watch The Story of Queen Victoria, along with a four-part docuseries on Princess Diana titled, Princess Diana: Who Do You Think She Was? We'll also be re-airing Sisterhood: South Carolina Suffragists in a marathon format on March 17.

We are proud to celebrate Women's History Month, and to introduce new programming options featuring South Carolina women and other notable female influencers, both nationally and internationally. As we focus on these women's stories and their contributions to our culture and communities, I challenge you to choose courage over fear.
