Celebrating the Natural Beauty & Rich Cultural Tapestry of the South

Spring is a season of renewal, and at SCETV we're embracing that spirit by bringing fresh content across our broadcast, digital and radio platforms.

This April, we're thrilled to premiere new series and episodes that celebrate both the natural beauty and rich cultural tapestry of South Carolina.

On television, we're diving deep into the wonders of our state's unique ecosystems with new episodes of Coastal Kingdom, airing Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. on ETV-HD. Storytelling takes center stage on Monday nights with the return of Reel South, premiering at 9 p.m. on ETV-HD. This PBS documentary series provides a powerful platform for Southern filmmakers, showcasing authentic, compelling stories rooted in the American South.

For our youngest viewers, we're excited to present the premiere of Vegesaurs on April 6 at 9:15 a.m. This series transports children to a prehistoric world ruled by the juiciest and crunchiest creatures — the Vegesaurs. With themes of friendship, sharing and play, it's a fun and educational way for preschoolers to start their day.

Our digital platforms are also brimming with new adventures. Launching on April 22, Wild Wild South introduces viewers to Hyatt Mamoun, a passionate young filmmaker and producer. Hyatt's curiosity about the natural world shines as she takes audiences on a journey through South Carolina's Lowcountry, uncovering its hidden wonders. Be sure to catch this exciting new series on SCETV's online platforms.

And for our jazz enthusiasts, South Carolina Public Radio is adding a new rhythm to your weekdays with Rapp on Jazz. Beginning in April, Mark Rapp, executive director of the ColaJazz Foundation, will host these one-minute segments highlighting the history of jazz and South Carolina's influential role in the genre's creation. It's the perfect way to add a little swing to your day.

As we move forward into this season of growth and discovery, we invite you to join us — whether by exploring the natural world, connecting through powerful storytelling or tapping your toes to the sounds of jazz. Thank you for being part of the SCETV community. We look forward to sharing these journeys with you.
